Me too - the Cooper STs I have on my truck have worn better than just about any tire Ive ever had

Although they are downright dangerous on snow and ice.

I'm a fan of the ST's too. I run those on one truck and BFG AT's on another. They both work well for me. As for the rating...D's are fine for moderate hauling. I would go E's if I was hauling constantly. As for the weight of the front end....take 8k total weight and you get 6 for the front? Sounds like the truck is out of balance. I run d's on my dodge and carry a fuel tank, the big weatherguard cross box filled to the top and my horns which are as heavy as any bumper. I tip the scales around 9500 and get 40-50k out of d's (srw). I worry more about my too soft rear leafs than what letter my tire has.

i have had both, def get the BFG. The cooper was a little better in snow/mud but was so loud on the highway they drove me nuts. Also I got less than 20,000 miles on them before they were so "cupped" and destroyed that I had to get new tires. In my book the coopers are junk for a heavy truck. Loved the BFG TA's, great ride and quiet and still got me traction off road when I needed it.

Im running 37 12.50 stt they work better off road than the bfg ATs and are less money than the bfg MTs and in my opinion the STTs last as long as the bfg MTs I should see better than 40k out of my STTs

If I went with coopers again (and I probably will) I would break down and get a siping tool.
