Jeez Dennis...why don't you just go like Uncle Whitmore and go with the bob of wheels and tires (beasts of burden) Rickson. With Ricksons I don't think you'll have to worry about it being overloaded.

 

With these E rated Toyo Commercail tires I still stay kind of within the limits most of the time. But ya my next tires will be mounted on the 19.5 wheels. I'm tired of changin out tires and those will outlast these things by a long ways and the tires are cheaper to boot.

 

I wonder how well balancing beads would work in the 19.5" tires? Ive read where they are hard to balance and are often out of round.

 

I got these Toyo's mounted at a truck shop. While I was waitin I got to talkin to the guy at the desk about the beads and he said that's all they use in the truck tires. Wish he would have told me they had them before they were workin on mine.

 

I worked with a powerline Co. and they swear by the SST's. They were runnings BFG MT's and switched. Price #1. Most of the trucks I saw were overloaded service beds on F350's. I'm going to the SST's when these Dean's (PO) wear out, so far the tire wear is pretty good.

 

man i seen them tires he gots (and the truck too) in person and when i looked at the load rating per tire i was like dayyyyyyummmm! something like 6400 lbs per corner. indeed impressive i do say!

 

I ran the BFT AT's on my chevy half ton and they worked ok, buy I like the Cooper STT's that i had on my dodge a lot better. Got almost 30K out of em and they were D load range. They worked awesome all around and i would definetly buy another set.

 

bfgs last as long as you rotate them.

 

I know this an older thread but here goes. I have had nothing but good luck with BFG's. I run them on everything. My neighbor had STT's on his truck and he had to chain up on snowpacked roads and I could drive all over the place. My dad ran a set of STT's on his dodge and they only lasted 26,000 miles. If it was me i would go with the BFG's. As for some of the complaints about clogging up the tread I thought that's what your right foot is for!LOL

 

I like BFG AT's but don't like the price. I have had cooper discoverer ST's on my truck for 4 yrs now and love'em. I get 35 to 40k out of them and they go good in the mud and snow.
