Default What kind of wheels?

can anybody tell me what kind of wheels these are? they were on my truck when I bought it and now the chorme is peeling very badly I was thinking about getting them powdercoated a gloss black. What do you think?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but every aluminum wheel that I have ever seen the chrome peel off of was because of a HUGE corrosion problem. If there is a grey/white powdery residue under the chrome where it's peeling, you have a corroded wheel.

You can try to remove the corrosion and paint the wheel, but you run the risk of balance issues. Best bet is to buy some new hoops for your whip.

those are ugly beaner wheels you buy them from any flea market or craigslist might have some

They come on the truck when I bought it. I thought about just Powdercoating them Gloss black until I get enough $$ to get some new chrome ones

why not just save the money and get new ones when you can? or if you really cant stand it just get some high temp paint in a rattle can. be much cheaper

I thought about the rattle can also but im gonna have to sand blast them anyways because the finish is so bad I might as well PC them

sand blast/rattle can those wheels that corrosion may leave wheel unbalanced when removed

Powder coating can be done in gloss finish, but see above

$300 on your local Craigslist will net you a set of wheels, where do you think my 16X10s came from?

hell go on ebay and get some new ones too, unless you really want to powdercoat them

just save ur money for new ones and go buy some semi flat black krylon it looks like the same color as xd wheels like the rockstar and it doesnt tiger strip or anything ive used that paint on 4 sets of wheels so far and i think it looks great
