I currently have 18" rims on my truck which is a lot of weight to get rolling. I was wondering what the smallest diameter rim I can fit on there is?

Most people say not to go any lower in wheel size because your brakes well get in the way. but I know there are some earlier Ford super duties that had 16s I think. my friends 03 350 has 16s Im pretty sure. but I dont know how your brakes differ from his

I know on 05s the smallest wheel you can run are 17s. My friends 04 has 16s. I don't think dropping down an inch or two in wheel size is going to make that much of a difference to justify the cost of doing it.

Why not just get rid of the mud grapplers and run an all terrain? I would think that would be a better weight reduction and less rolling resistance.

I believe that year came with 18's, I dont think you can put any smaller of a rim than factory because the disc brakes will not allow it.

17's, 18's and 20's are all factory sizes. My 06 came with 17's and I have 18" lariat rims on there now. You can not go smaller than 17" though because the brakes are large. They put much larger brakes on the 05+ trucks than the 03/04 trucks.
