Treadlife sux on MOST offroad max traction tires when used on the street... Thats just the breaks of it... They were made for off road! Not concrete!

285/70-16 IS a 33" tall tire too...

I have 305/60-r16 on my truck, DID have 285s like yours. The 305's fit great. They are wider and also still 33" tall! The 305's i got are BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO. They are sick lookin and get great tread life reviews!

are you wanting like a true offroad tire? if so you might try some mtzs from mickey thompson, I hear do not go with Nittos but the dune grappler is a pretty good kind of offroad tire. its more sand than mud though, a set of MTR kevlars would looks sick too.

But personally I wouldnt get an offroad tire. just get a good all terrain unless you plan on doing some hardcore muddin.

you might look at the goodyear wrangler duratracs. one of my friends has a set and he really likes them. they look a lot more aggressive in person.
