i want a 4 inch lift..

That would eplain the cheap price. That lift that I described is probably blocks front and rear then huh? A body lift would probably be okay if you're not doing any pulling with the truck and just using it as a street truck. If you have a goose neck hitch, a body lift will probably render it useless, right?
You can pull the gooseneck plate and add a 3 inch solid STEEL spacer under the plate, I have done it on a few Chevy trucks, they pull fine...

I rather spend $1000 and doit right than $400 for the easy way out.what size lift should I get for 35" tires? I don't want the truck to be sky high cause I got a set of 285 tires on stock wheels I use for plowing don't want the truck to be super high you know...and I don't have a gooseneck setup all ill be pulling is a dual axle landscape trailer with 2 zeroturns...ill buy a lift kit hopefully you gusy can lead me in the right direction for the right lift. And what brand...thanks again

I used to have a 2" leveling kit on my truck but just took it off to put on a 4.5" Tuff Country lift on my 2000 Cummins...it came with all new shocks, rear blocks and an extra leaf in for the rear...for the front got new upper and lower control arms, new drop pitman arm, trackbar relocation bracket, and drops for all of the swaybar end links...cost me about $900 shipped to my door...me and a buddy put it on took a few days but only because I had to cut the 2 lower camber bolts off that i had to order from the factory and took a few days...so keep that in mind, (special bolts) I am running 35x13.5 tires, was also running them before with the leveling kit, they rubbed a little, but i also have them offset, but had to get the lift for the tires to clear my flares, now they dont come close to rubbing...I really like the lift, it isnt to low nor to high, i plan on pulling the truck so i didnt want to get the lift but with the flares i had too...You can check out my pics in my profile to see the lift, and tires,
Let me know if you want to know more about my lift...

sounds like a decent deal for $900.... but how would a 4.5" lift effect plowing with my 285s on stock rims...? to much of a lift for plowing?

im think jhald got this lift right here... Dodge Ram Lift Kit - 4.5" 2500/3500 4x4 truck - Kits by Tuff Country - 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 comes out to about $900
does this lift fit diesel 2500s though? doesnt say anything about diesel... also does the front end on a 94 12 valve correct for that lift? says doesnt work with dana 70 or dana 80 not sure off the top of my head what front end is on my truck... and factory overloads? what are factory overloads

My truck is a 2000 Cummins 2500 4wd, andy yes you have factory over loads same as me, which are just a few more leafs in the rear, so it requires longer U-bolts...it will fit your truck you have a Dana 60 front and a Dana 80 rear, with that lift and your smaller tires i dont see any problems that you would have with plowing only that it may look weird with that small of tires ...got your messege but not sure what 2 u-bolts that i cut that you are referring to...i did have to cut down all four u bolts just to get the deep well on the nut, but other than that...any more questions just ask...not sure why my pics never posted but if you want more PM me and i can email you some...

ok just figured out which bolts you are talking about...The two bolts that i had to cut off were the two front lower control arm bolts which were seized and could not loosen them, they are the bolts that adjust your camber and have a special plate on the bolt so had to order them from the factory, and took a few days to get...
