Speedometer calibration

Speedometer calibration
I brought my truck in to the local idiots (dodge dealership) the other day to get my speedo calibrated to the larger tires that i put back on after haveing the winters on. (I had it recalibrated when i put the winters on in the fall for the smaller size.) Anyways right after I put the larger tires on the speedo was out by about 20Km\h (speedo said 85 when doing 100), now after the dealership go at it its out by like 40km/h (speedo says 140 when doing 100). I 've brought it back to them to get it fixed but they just say that they did it right and there is nothing that they can do. Does anyone have an idea as to how they could have messed this up, and how to fix it? Thanks.

Unless you made a monster jump in tire size, tires ain't gonna make that big a difference in speed. Sounds to me like you have a problem with the speedometer itself although I couldn't tell you what or how. Just not much to em on these 99's.
The flash to set it should be a simple matter for any dealership up to like 35 inch, get's kinda hairy after that cause they're books only go that big so after that they have to guess how to set it. If you have somebody around with a SMARTY you can use it to adjust your tires size also.
