Default Nitto Terra Grappler AT tires?

I've got an offer of a set of these tires and wanted feedback. I'm thinking of installing them on my 2WD and have an option of either 265/75/16's ($540 installed) or 285/75/16's ($700 installed). I put 2" longer springs in the front, a while ago, but I'm not sure if the 285's will fit. If they do, I'd prefer to go that route. Anybody got any feedback on this tire?

I have never had a set....but have read a number of posts on them...think youll get average miles out of them. I doubt they will wear like a BFG or Michelin. But, they are a good looking tire.

Toyo M-55. A nice smooth, quiet highway tire that pulls through the mud better then just about any mud tire I have ever had. It's also commercial rated tire so it should wear for quit a while.

Apparantely, some claim to get close to 100 k out of the M-55. They are not cheap, but they are and awesome tire. Dont think you can go wrong with any of the Toyos.

I'd hope you'd get 100K out of them at $227 a tire ... a bit rich for my blood!

Now, back to the Nitto's ...

The wife thinks the rims look too small too. Anyone got pics of 285's on 18" rims?

How about Eagle 187 rims with 285-65-18 Nitto's?????

Anybody got any pics?

The rims I'm looking at are 18x9's with a 5" backspace ... will these work okay with my 2WD?
