I had a set on my other truck and they wore horrible, I only got a little over 20k out of them and I had them rotated every 5k. They seemed very soft.

Okay, I'm having a backspace dillema.

The rims I'm looking at are Eagle 187's, 17x9, 5" backspace, +2mm offset.

Will these work on my truck? How far will they stick out? Remember, I have a 2WD, if it makes a difference.

Believe it or not, it's the wife's idea!

Hey, as long as its got a Cummins in it...go for it...

Well, I know the trouble youve had with your truck and I cant say that Id blame you for jumping ship. That is ONE sharp looking truck. If I could find one with a 7.3L Id consider it (especially iof it was as nice looking as that truck)...

So, did you buy it?

Shane, I've no idea what those wheels are. No, I didn't buy it ... yet! I only stumbled upon it this evening. It's a 2002, 7.3 liter ... the last of the good ones! She's got 66+K and they're wanting $27K for it.

Funny how that always happens; every time I need new tires, I end up with a new truck payment!

Seems like alot of money, but I guess it's about right if you get down to it. Bet you could find that Dodge on the next lot with some really cool tires on it.

I slept on it and have decided to stick with what I've got. I've an appointment on Saturday to get the 285 Nitto's installed ... $680. Since there is an issue with backspace, I've decided to keep the stock rims ... for now!
