Mine did, but i would suggest some studs. Mine is actually blown at the moment i was hitting 48psi with a hy35. Thats just with a hotrod pump and adrenaline, i have stock injectors. Its just not motor work your gonna do, you need a trans thats going to hold and 400hp is way to much on a stock trans. Its the torque that kills it. i put down 760ft lbs torque when i dyno'd 325hp. My adrenaline was messed up that day, anyways a stock trans wont hold long at that hp and torque.

45-50psi is pushing it on i think on stock studs....Most stock stangs are an easy win a camero lt1 doesnt stand a chance but the ls1 will put you in your place. Usually everyone that has something that runs good doesnt pick on anyone. I normally try to avoid racing but i get alot of highschool kids thinking they have something worthy. Usually ends with me laughing.

Infact i had dodge dakota single cab race me, i killed him. Then he went on to tell me he had a bunch of tools in the back and weighed him down. I told him to go play with a mustang and then come talk to me. Bunch of ratards out there.

well my 12v never had a problem with mustangs but then again you always have to watch who you're racing. like the kid who pulls up in a dually laughs at you and tries to race a whole bunch of mustangs and camaros. prob not that fast. and its only illegal if you pull over for the cops.

i usually didn't race, tires were too expensive haha, but if it came down to it, just spool it up to around 5psi and let her rip haha, the looks you get when you start to spool a gas v8 car is awesome, lots of scared looks! the kids who all have 650hp change there stories pretty quick, then when you tell them that the turbo on your car is about the same size as the one on there truck the excuses fly. i put a lot of ls1 cars in there place with it but a lot more money into it then they have. the wife wanted a mustang but to be back on topic around here there is a chevy luv with a dyno proven 1000hp running on the street, its nasty! and a camaro with 1500hp! he ran just over an 8 sec quarter, there out there and sometimes hard to spot. to keep up with most imports i would say 450hp is good enough, but to play with the big boys gotta spend some serious money.

and stock headgaskets will hold to 40 easy and 50 at bursts, just be carefull and don't let it stay there too long. i would definetly upgrade to headstuds, cheap insurance!

Ya they will about for several weeks....mine blew at 48psi. Anything over 40 i would get studs. Its mess when it blows.

I think the 62/65 would be better the 71 seems to spool a bit slower. The mileage all depends on how heavy your right foot is , my cummins with 150hp injectors and an adreanline with the 351ve would get around 18 that's city highway combo. Don't know where I was for power though never dynoed it

My goal is 400-450 by the end of summer, but we'll see. But even if I only get to a little over 300, it'll hook up good in my light half ton.
