Ive been thinking about a hoodstack for a little while because the cops in my nearest town are starting to get **** about smoke in traffic..thats what happens when you have all the fucktards from dynomite diesel running around smoking out every intersection all day. I use my bed too much for stacks (plus I dont care for em.) The one thing Ive been concerned about is the extreme heat cycles on the turbo from being able to cool so fast. I was thinking of using header wrap to combat this and after spotting this thread I see it seems to be the way to go.

And for all the haters, By your logic if my truck isnt a dedicated pulling truck therefore I shouldnt hood stack it, what do you say to all the people who throw a lift/leveling kit on a truck that will never see more than a gravel road?
My offroad truck has a 351w pushing 400+ hp, and gets 4 mpg, sits on 36's, I built it to handle anything and the result is that it is not practical for daily driving. but I dont go around insulting people who lift their brand new 2011 truck on 35s, even though I know they just drive to work and back and maybe splash through a puddle now and then.

 

^^amen, i too have a dedicated rig along with many of my friends. The other thing with all these automotive hobbies is that no matter what anyone thinks you can express yourself thru ur.truck car whatever. Who cares what nebody thinks as long as ur happy with ur truck

 

if the cops are harrassing people for smoke, you think putting a hood stack on your truck they will leave you alone?
