What if you drive the truck to work and park it, and you get really busy doing something, and it starts raining... OK... Water in your turbo... Not good.

On the other hand, are you going to wait outside for 20 minutes until that piece of metal cools down enough to put your plastic folgers can on?? Am I missing something?
I have an exhaust system, I don't run any stack, and if someone choses to run a hood stack I'm not gonna worry myself about water in Thier turbo

No doubt! When I said "if you're dumb enough" I didn't mean you. Sorry for the confusion.

hood stacks are not really my thing... but you gotta love when people get angry and act you are ruining the hobby by doing something to your truck that they dont like.

and lets be honest if anything is ruining the rep of our hobby its the powerstroke.

Congratulations.

If your real advanced or smart you would just put a rain flap on it and not have to worry

Unless you've got a pretty good sized hole in the bottom of your hood stack, that water is going into your turbo... If you're lucky.
put a 5 gallon pale over it and ur all set

Now I have a picture of a hood stack with melted Folgers can running down the side like a red and chrome candle.
or you could just fabricate a stainless steel coffee can then it wouldnt rust or melt or you could just not worry about it

I dont think anyone really gets the point i guess.

HOODSTACKS ARE RETARDED ON DD's plain and simple. If you think you look cool driving around town with a shiny pipe thru your hood think again.
