Talking GMC Jimmy Kill

i just beat a 2001 GMC Jimmy small suv with my truck. it was a 4 cylinder but he didnt know the displacement.I put my truck in 4X4 revved the motor to 1500 RPM then after the third horn beep we went. got up to 65 in about 10 or 11 seconds then he backed off because we past the point we made up that would be the finish line. i had about 2 truck lengths on him when we stopped. just wanting to let you know that these 6.5s are faster than you think ha ha

hahaha, easy prey. If you can take on something a little more worthy of competition like a stock hemi, then I'll say you're fast

6.5s can get up and go a little bit with some work. We had a 6.5 CUCV (1 ton 3500 SRW designed for military) in Iraq. When we got it it was stuck in 4LO so it was a terror to drive. We wound up just removing the front driveshaft vice pulling the transfer. The truck would damn near throw your head thru the back window on takeoff and go ***** out to about 75, it has 4.56 gears in it though. Good kill though.

i love my truck and all its head snapping 190 horespower. to tell you the truth because its Indirect injection it sounds a lot meaner than it really is. it should gain a little accerlation when i switch to 3.73 gears. but with a upgraded computer, turbo, nitrous it can take on a mildly modded duramax

Yeah, I saw one 6.5 that really blew me away. Stock, those engines sounded and performed so anemically, but with a straight pipe and a couple mods they actually sound REALLY impressive.

The 7.3 Powerstrokes also sound a lot meaner than they really are as well. At idle they're not bad, but get on the throttle and it's a whole lot of noise. But I kind of like that, who needs a stereo anyways?

, you got that right, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. I hit the mute button on the steering wheel when I let it wind up a bit most of the time.
