No andy i save my twin for kydtr when it needs to do some adjusting. And this is a friendly debate but like i said i will pay more attention this weekend at bowlinggreen

yeah i guess it is harder to tune 8 cylinders than 6 guess thats why im smarter.

You can contact John Isaacs at Floor It Diesel and ask him. I would like to run the TS Performance event but probably won't due to funds and other obligations. And all of the 12 second and quicker street legal trucks that I've been around pull 1.7 and quicker. The Duramax Pro Street truck that I've seen the timeslip on ran a 1.32 on his mid 10 pass. It probably has a alot to do with the amount of fuel the race trucks are trying to burn. I hit full boost instantly from a 20 pound launch on 1.6 runs. If the track is slick I back off to 15 pound launches and still pull 1.7s. The only "street" trucks around here that won't pull those 60 foots are running huge laggy turbos or huge amounts of fuel that takes 15 minutes to stage. Of course even Kale Thompsons 11.6 Powerstroke that is street driven runs 1.5s and he takes forever to stage.

I heard from two guys that one just revs the engine up by pressing the gas pedal up and down just to get the turbo spinning.

The other one built about 30 pounds of boost with his stick and let her go.

The relative concept is to use compressed air from either a gas cylinder or on-board compressor to help spool your turbo prior to launch. It has been used in some drag racing but is real popular with the ricer crowd...to be effective, you may need a blow-off valve....Basicly pre-launch, you inject your turbo with compressed air to spool instead of using your engine...not sure if it could be adapted to our trucks, but might be worth investigating...

I have a friend here big into Mustangs, and he pre-spools twins on the Mustang prior to launching....he claims that every launch is at maximum boost using this technique. He has a digital gauge and sensor setup, and can monitor and control his boost and blow-off settings from the dashboard....

The twins, and the calibration tools and gauges for the dash ran near 6k for his application....but man does this car haul ***!!!
