Skip it, between the optic and the mount you would be disappointed, ya can get a better bushey for about the same price looking around. Heck Wally World here carries em without that junk optic/mount combo.

Any of these are better:

its plastic. call it what you want, its plastic. ive handled them, i dont like them. ya they might be light, but call me old fashioned, i like a metal firearm. you might argue pistols have plastic frames. ya i dont particularly care for that either. if you like a rifle that the only metal parts are the barell and bolt, then go ahead. thats just my opinion. dpms makes an optic ready AR, all metal, for the same price or less. i bought mine for 620 bucks, but i believe they are up to 699. the dpms oracle. doesnt come with a junk sight that quits workin after a couple hundred rounds either. ive put a couple thousand rounds through it and never had a failure.

Dude, it all depends on what you want, do you want the best quality and complete mil spec, or do you want a plinker...

1K ain't crap when it comes to buying a world class door kicking AR....my LaRue Stealth upper was more than 1K easily....

The older bushmasters were good entry level rifles, the new ones are border line bottom of the barrel.

I e said it before, you can build a nice middle of the road AR with budget optic for around $700.

I think I built my BCM for about $100 more with way better parts basicly bushmaster dpms, del-ton, stag, rock river, all suck in my book I only recomend BCM, Noveske, larue, Daniel Defence, and spikes.
