Thanks for that link!

Now im thinking about an AK WTF i cant make up my mind. Over on another forum this AK is supposedly the best bang for your buck
HI-CAP Bulgarian AK-47 7.62x39 #AKAGUN-SSR85C-HC
It has a bulgarian receiver i guess those are good.

The impression i have on the ar and ak seem to be the ar is a range toy and the ak is for the battlefield.

Check out The AK Forum Lots of good info & I got my AK from a guy selling it there...

To AK freaks the AR15 will never be a "combat weapon" it's all what you want...the AK is a good weapon as is the AR...but the AR is better at some things than the AK and the AK junkies will tell ya that you can never jam/gum up a AK...it never stops working...

I rather have the AR-15, cause you have endless options & calibers, plus the AR-15 will be more accurate

From my research on AKs, I found that the Bulgarian made ones are pretty decent rifles. And you found it cheaper than a Romanian WASR. If I was sitting on an extra 400 bucks right now I'd order that thing.

Have you considered looking at SKS's? I just picked one up last month for just shy of $270 after taxes. I just happened to catch it at the right time since most go for about 300 or more now. Its a Norinco(Chinese) and it was all original when I bought it. I swapped out the stock for an ATI side folder, bought a couple Tapco 20 round mags, a single point sling, a Magpul sling mount, I have a UTG tri-rail coming in the next week, plus my Eotech clone that I'm gonna put on it. Overall about $519 spent so far including the cost of the rifle. Here's a couple pics. First one is when I brought it home and the 2nd is it now.

I'm going to switch out the ATI side folder for a Tapco T6 stock though. This one is too wobbly for my liking.

Why buy an AK when you could build one and have SO much fun doing it?

Here's my Romy G build. I could have bought one for around the same but I enjoy building my stuff as much as shooting it. I've installed the trigger group but it still needs some finish work...

I guess you didn't completely read my post. My Eotech is a knockoff clone aka "shitty air soft toy part." If it breaks, then it breaks and I get to go shopping again. Just thought I would try it out.

I can tell that you must be one of them SKS "purists." "Leave it in the original military configuration," they say. Here's what I have to say to them, let me have your credit card and I'll be sure to buy the "proper" rifle to put the most top of the line stuff on it.

I was simply putting the SKS as a cheaper alternative out there for Plum, and you had to go bash it.

Bash what, the fact that you took a good solid weapon and put cheap toy crap on it...not bashing, just not going to agree with you and am going to point out the simple fact your putting junk on a good weapon...don't expect to hit a target past 50 feet when you have it all junkafied...

And nope I'm not a military purest saying a SKS has to always look/feel like it did coming from the factory...and by screwing up a Norinco that way it also shows you really do not know much about Norinco or how hard/almost impossible it is to get them now...and that they are worth quite a bit in the original configuration...

UTG is nothing but cheap Chinese made toy gun parts for air soft guns...and tapicco is known world wide as tapico ******* a gun...total ****, cheap crap for people who do not know better, or just want to throw away money...by making a gun look "cool" or "tactical" thus the phrase tacticool came about...

Did not see the part about the eotech being a cheap chineese fake...but hey, it's your money and if ya want to flush it down the toilet so be it...

Just cuz ya could have gotten a cheap Chinese aimpoint micro knock off from PA and have been further ahead...as it's actually a good optic...& ya can even get one with a mount that's better than the utg toy parts...

I have a eotech clone. Put a few thousand ronds through it on an AR and a few hundred through the Saiga 12. Still holds zero and functions fine. It wont come close to my real eotechs but its not complete garbage. The lens has a little reflection in it and the battery cover is plastic but For what i paid I'm happy with it.
