Default Long range rifles...

What ya got?

I have my Remington 700 ADL 7mm Rem Mag for deer, bear, and other large animals. It will take down anything in North America I might come across.

And for my coyote, Ground Hog, and other varmints I have my Tacti-Cool Remington 700 ADL Varmint. I just picked this up for $450 at Dicks. The barrel is not free floated but it still shoots .75 and under MOA in all the tests. Most testers have been able to coax .5 MOA out of it with an aftermarket stock and hand loads. Defiantly too heavy to lug around in the woods but it will work great for precision work. Need to get a better scope for it but this was in the case, the one that it came with is real cheap made...

Very nice round, my dad has one.

My main reason for buying the .308 is simply its a common round, easy to find ammo and surplus ammo for it and in a SHTF situation it will be easier to scrounge ammo for it if needed.

I have a couple times but not many places at all around here to do it.

Put 20rnds of cheap *** rem ammo through it. Shot about .75" 3 rnd groups at 50 yards, pretty damn good for me. I know the gun will shoot better then I can.
