no one caught any fish cuz it was
A. middle of the day - dead zone
B. 96 people fishing in about 200' x 200' ft area - way overfished
C. not nearly deep enough water to catch anything in - it was in about 10-12' of water, where 16-18' is ideal for fish
So how they went about doing it, was simply drawing all entry numbers from a hat, and whoever got called went up and picked an envelope that was upside down on a pool table. Incidentally we were one of the last numbers to get drawn, and no one had picked up the 1st place 500.00 prize yet, and we got lucky and picked it! Thats how it all went about
This Sat. is another all day ice fishing tournament with other prizes that i dont care as much about as cash. The good thing with this event is that you can go anywhere on the lake and get to use an ice house. Last weekend was a 3 hr event and no ice houses were allowed. We will see if its even still on this week as Saturdays high is forecasted to be around -2*F
