Default hydrashok vs gold dot...

Got a bunch of both from a friend all 45. No clue on weight I need to pull one bullet of each and weigh them. The hydrashok is +P... I know thwy are both good rounds but which would you carry? Both function good in the 1911.

I like the Gold Dots because the name sounds cooler to me.

And if I'm gonna pay that much to make a hole in something it might as well have gold in the name.

Hydra-Shok are old technology...they were designed by Tom Burczynski father of the PMC Starfire (the Starfire came after the Hydra-Shok as did a few more of his designs) and 20+ years ago they were the best bullet for shooting goblins...bar none...

However, they have been superseded by newer designs (yes I still have boxes of Hydra-Shok's from the 80's) and better preforming bullets...

The Gold Dot is one of today's premier bullet designs....much newer and better than the Hydra-Shok......

Then why not carry a cap and ball revolver with lead *****.....do you even know why old fashioned revolvers with lead ***** killed....could it be the lead was so soft it expanded....and medical treatment was way different than it is today....

Carrying Hydra-Shok bullets today is like driving a 1958 Edsel across death Vally in the middle of the summer....
