That may be a difficult decision making process. One nice thing about a good 1911 is they will happily eat just about anything you can stuff in the mag.

Never said that....I've been buying/shooting them for more than 20 years...and still have a good supply of them...plus they look flipping wicked....

What I did say was the Gold dot is a better bullet...and the HS are outdated....

We had a members wife get shot by a GOLD DOT, & it went in & out of her leg & never mushroom

ithink the gold dot is a bonded bullet . just newer style . both will work most inportant is feeding and how well it groups and hitting what you aim at so practic and have fun

They don't always expand...not one single handgun bullet can/will expand 100% of the time

I would load the hydroshok in warmer weather and then the gold dots in the colder weather months.
