Good looking gun. I've been thinking about getting one as well.

Cal Ranch has the Citadels(pretty close to the RIAs) for about 500.

Nice looking pistol, have played with a few of em and can't say anyhting bad about em considering the price point.

I'd stay away from the cheap mags...even for range use I've never had good luck with em...but they do give you lots of practice in weapon malfunction drills....now the only mags I get are McCormick Shooting Star magazine's excellent mags and the price is not to bad...

I've got these 10-8 grips on order for the Springer TRP...

I don't mid cheap mags for range use as long as they are not complete, failure every mag, junk. I will order some good mags for other times though.

it is also good to have a mag that will randomly fail. knowing that it will randomly fail, do not use it in a defense situation, though use it for training to simulate when a failure will occur with a regular good mag that isn't suppose to fail....

this 1911 stuff "Oh they are teh greatest gun ever, 100 years running and nothing is better, oh you gotta try 10 different parts till you find the one that runs in your gun"

At least with my Glock I know if I buy a Glock mag it will function in my particular gun

everything that i have put mine through has worked out well, haven't found much that doesn't work on it. i think there was one mag that failed and i kinda knew it was before i even shot it, but it was a gift so had to use it once for them haha.

Don't forget.....how many makers of glock mags are there & how much does a mag cost...

Now how many makers of 1911 mags are their & what is the price difference between a cheap import mag and a good quality mag???
