API RIA 1911A1 FS 45 TAC 8 $437.00 SHIPS FREE

It's only a RIA and not a $1k+ gun but I have a few friends with em and they love em. One lives and breaths 1911's, he says its a good gun, not the best in his collection by far but nothing wrong with it at all for a shooter, he has never had any malfunctions even in the typical 1911 break in period. Other friends report a couple issues in the first 100-200 rounds but great running from there on. I've shot em and like em. That and all the reviews on them have been that they are GREAT guns for the price. Should be a good plinking gun....

I was going to go with the base gun for $50 less and do the nice grip safety, skeleton hammer, trigger and beavertail myself but with Steph being a lefty I like the ambi safety on the "tacticool" model plus the Novak style sights. The sights will be swapped out to night sights but with the tactical model I wont have to have the slide machined for the front.

Need to order up some more mags for it and see what I got to work with, gonna need a decent cheap holster too. I love my Crossbreeds but this wont be a carry gun, might carry it every so often but not enough to justify $80+...

Also gotta get some grips... That flat wood aint gonna cut it and I want to polish the barrel.

NIce! I have been eyeing these for quite some time. I always hold one when I happen upon them at gun shows and I really like them.

RIA 1911s are great I've got the base model and never had a problem and mine gets thrown in the truck and open carried around the farm. I did have my uncle file and polish the ramp from the mag well

Young Grasshopper, You have opened your eyes, There is nothing like a 1911, option are boundless, buy your 1911 mags from cdnn sport, I think they have the metalform 1911 45 mags for $6. Now you'll be a serious pistolero

Old Grasshopper.... I still have my Glock 23 on my hip... Don't get you hopes up to high

I love guns, all guns, I have a VERY well rounded collection of all sorts of things. I've shot plenty of 1911 all the way up to $2k and up ed whatever his name is guns.... They are real nice. I like my Glocks better for Carry.

I need a budget holster. OWB is fine.

Also looking at a add on rail.... Any thoughts?
