fobus holsters are cheap pieces of :edit:....calling them pieces of :edit: elevates them to a higher status than they deserve...

Benjamin 07-13-2011 11:45 PM

that's funny.... i bet you prefer a Black Hawk SERPA.... talk about a waste of Kydex....

Ya know...ya should read a few threads here once in a while....:humm::humm::humm:

fobus is what you get when the serpa takes a huge steaming dump......and the serpa is a dangerous junk holster......

i'd hate to see what you say about the Kholster....

you keep talking down about all these different types of holsters, i guess you must just carry your gun in your hand? either that or just tucked in your waistband between you pants and undies like a Gangsta'

You mean this big ass pancake looking thing....

http://www.kholster.com/xmas/IMG_8355.JPG

that's a humongus copy of the supertuck and the Minotaur MTAC...

Don't know why anybody would purchase something that's a obvious cheap copy of a quality holster...but when people fawn over the fobus & serpa holsters proclaiming they are quality it's not a surprise people would go for a funky assed pancake of a holster over a quality one that costs a tad more...

RSWORDS 07-14-2011 04:23 PM

Easy Guys, All three of you....

If y'all make me lock down my own thread I'm gonna be pissed. We all have opinions and we all know how to read through bull to get real info. Everyone in this thread has givin me good info thats helped me, and everyone in here has givin me info I don't belive to be true or correct per my knowledge or train of thought, as I'm sure I've given to others. If we all liked the same stuff or thought the same way this would be a boring ass site.

RSWORDS 07-14-2011 04:24 PM

Oh and Ben... You know I hate the Kholster... :D

I'd like to try yours on at some point but looking at it I don't think my fat ass would like it. Sometimes I wish my supertuck had less leather.

highlighting this just to make it more noticeable. we all know that there is no end all holster. everyone has their own preferences, everyone's body is built different so no one holster is the one for everyone. some people cannot afford a super high dollar custom made holster so don't assume because someone chooses one holster over another that they are cheap. don't assume because someone recommends or uses a certain holster that they are ignorant or unsafe. we all have different opinions, but coming right out and blatantly calling all the suggestions one person makes cheap and junk and copies of "quality" holsters without any facts to back it up only discredits you more.

so people, please remember this for future post.....

That's why I went with the MTAC, but the problem I had was the leather would collapse into the kydex making one handed holstering a issue without looking down at the holster..

Personally I really love the CTAC and I'm no longer a stud muffin but a fat assed old fart...the CTAC is extremly comfy with my 1911 and 2 spare 8rd mags wearing it for over 14 hours...

Not my picture, can't find mine...will have to look later...

I wouldn't like the CTac or what ever the top one is, too much gun on my skin. Thats why I was curious on the other holster you have the thread on. To me looking at the pics it would look uncomfortable. My Supertuck spreads the surface pressure around the leather so I don't have things poking me.

Benjamin 07-14-2011 05:12 PM

Yep, that's the CTAC....believe ir t or not to me & my love handles...the CTAC was just as comfortable as the MTAC, it's so thin & fits so nice for me...plus you can get a hunk of mole skin to pad the back of the holster if you want...I got the molesking, but never put it on...

Have yet to try the K25 IWB, will see how that works after a range trip & then see if I want to put the mole skin on it...

Well its here... Shoots great, I was only able to put 50 rnds of 230gr PMC FMJ through it but it took them fine with no issues. Shoots nice, minute of beer can at ~20 yards no problem. Feels good in my hands, nice quality, the saftey is a tad sharp on the edges but it has a nice solid engaugment and disengaugment with a diffinitive click. Very happy with this gun and VERY happy with the price to quality. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a bare bones inexpensive 1911.

I still like my Glock better though, we will see when I put some more rounds down range. :D

Also picked up a used LCP... Got an OK deal on it. $325 gun was real low round, came with 350 rounds of assorted FMJ and JHP. Two holster (Nemisis pocket holster and some off brand cheap belt holster) and a spare mag. Not a great deal but not bad with all the ammo. Has one little scratch on the slide other then that its like new. Shoot good and carries well in my pocket.

dulling pistols at 100 feet.....

You bring your 380 and I'll bring a 357Sig....and you can even have 1st shot.....:humm::humm::humm:

I don't own any 380 anymore, cause they make 9MM that are. Pubic hair bigger.

That's what I don't understand....you can get a pistol chambred in 9mm that's not much bigger than the 380 yet people still sing praises on how great the 380 is...

heck you can get a great 38spl revolver that's not much bigger but it packs a wallop compared to the 380's pipsqueak....

but hey, that's why America is so diverse...:w2::w2::w2:

Can I shoot my Walther pk380? I have no doubt in my mind I can hit you in the head at 100' with that baby. :D Its a great shooting gun.

Only 9mm I can find that is as small as the LCP type guns are the DiamondBack with mixed reviews and the Rauch-whatever thats a grand... I dont like the feel of a .38 in my pocket, I have problems conceling them. I have tree trucks for thighs... 380 has its place. There are definatly better cal out there but sometimes its a pocket gun or no gun.... Thats what I got it.

I can say flat out, if I get in a shoot out with my 380 its gonna suck, but its better then a rock. I only wear it places like the beach (semi-private) and around other places with a lower chance of shit, If im out and about on the town, doing my day to day stuff I carry a bigger gun.

With the 9MM you can shoot 88 grain bullets all the way to 158 grain sub sonics, can't understand why anybody like the 380:nope::argh:

RSWORDS 07-16-2011 05:35 PM

If I could find a 9mm in the same size package as my LCP or BG380 I would buy it in a heart beat.... If yuo guys know of a reasonbly priced gun I will get it next. Closest I've found is teh LC9 and it prints HORRIBLE in my pockets and barly fits.
