Default SAFARI ARMS 1911 45

Ok I know this wasn't bright, but I had to do it. I'm on vacation in MIAMI BEACH, when my TSA buddy call me to say, that his friend is selling a SAFARI ARMS 1911 45 with two WILSON COMBAT mags, a 100 round box of REMINGTON FMJ, a 20 round box of SPEER GOLD DOT HOLLOW-POINT, a hard plastic case for $500, hope I didn't get ripped off too bad

I can't understand why he had the hammer grinded down, it doesn't have a spur to grip the hammer, how do I lower the hammer on a round when there is nothing left to grab on too. The wife wasn't happy that while on vacation, I left MIAMI BEACH to meet my friend to buy the gun

Personally, I wouldn't lower the hammer on a round with an "un"butchered gun.

I think a trip to the gunsmith is in your future. Just a suggestion.

yeah NadirPoint, It has to have a NEW hammer, cause this 1911 is dangerous without the spur on the hammer, when you rack the slide, you have to remove the mag & rack the slide again to dump the round it had in the chamber Then you can pull the trigger safely

Ugh sounds like he did a major butchering job 7 had no idea of the 1911 manual of arms...

I'd be extremly leery of the pistol till after a very knowledgeably 1911 smith goes over it and replaces the jacked up hammer...

I want to make sure the MASTER 1911 gunsmith I use goes over this gun with a fine tooth comb, before I use it, don't want to shoot me pride & joy off{If you know what I mean}
