Glock Torture Test

I'm not saying a Glock is the cure all end all gun (it's not), I'm not saying others would not pass this test (I'm sure some will), I'm not gonna argure that Glock is king and all other suck (It's all in what you like and works for you, kinda like Cummins, Duramax, Powerstroke)

What I will say is this guy has put this gun through some abuse! :D I don't think I could ever bring myself to abuse a firearm like this! :D

Try firing 500 rounds of lead bullets thur a glock:w2: Better yet don't do it, GLOCK could blow up:scare2::scare2::scare2::s:

RSWORDS 05-28-2011 07:43 PM

I personally would not shoot 500 lead bullets through anything with out a couple cleaning breaks. But yes the hex shape barrel does cause the flock barrel to gunk up faster with lead rounds. I don't shoot lead though. :D

Bobby i'm thinking of doing this to my G L O C K Ten-Ring Precision, Inc.

Benjamin 05-28-2011 08:41 PM

i know.... if you put a grip safety or a slide / frame mounted safety on a G L O C K it could shoot eleventy billion lead bullets without blowing up.....

get off your "it has to have a slide mounted safety or it will kill you" stance. I for one am tired of hearing it. If you have typed it once you have typed it a hundred times on here. If having a safety on a gun is what it takes for you to not hurt or kill yourself, then you probably don't need a damn gun to begin with. Safety's were invented to protect the stupid people and keep them from shooting themselves. By doing this gun manufactures created repeat customers.... it is a marketing tool......

I been shooting since the age of 9 year, You always want to be safe around guns, cause all it take is one mistake, to ruin a life. Safety are to keep responsible people safe:humm: The only reason I haven't done a frame mounted safety on my glock, is cause I have two H & K USP 40 S&W which have the frame mounted safety.

Benjamin 05-29-2011 08:36 PM

you are missing the forest for the trees in the your reply to my post above......

Mr. Miyagi 06-01-2011 12:04 PM

Like 'em or not a Glock works and is probably the most reliable SA handgun you can buy.

I sold my 21SF because although it was fun to shoot it's too large for a CC weapon, and not enough huevos for a backcountry PD weapon.

Kept my 20SF because it *will* handle +P+ loads contrary to what many people say about the "plastic" frame.

My Sig P220ST is a lot better quality than a Glock and has no safety, the safety is your brain.

Begle1 06-03-2011 10:19 PM

I don't think John Wayne ever used one.

Therefore it must be for pussies.

2 1/2 pounds of fun until the internal extractor breaks.

Fixed it for you...

:D

Sigs are nice, but do have extractor issues... As far as better quality... I'll give em that they look better....

The quality of the N E W SIG have something to be desired, :humm:

Hyde 06-04-2011 04:28 PM

Never had a problem with the extractor, now I know though. Still love the gun

Not saying they have bad quality, just not as good as the bulky, ugly, boxed out Glock... :D

HEY wait a minute, GLOCKS are known to blow-up, google it:s:

smokeeaterlb7 06-05-2011 08:18 PM

I just put about 200 rounds thru each of my glocks today.... All without a single FTF or jam. I love my glocks, and love the simplicity of the design. Blocky and all.

gunman41mag 06-05-2011 08:26 PM

I have a GLOCK 22 with a fitted BAR-STO 357 SIG barrel, 3.5 pound trigger, it's very accurate gun.

Well I think the 1911 is the best design:jump:, it's over 100 years old,:humm: but nothing beats it:tu:

It blows up, too.....

kazairl 06-06-2011 01:00 PM

@!! Heretic! How dare you suggest the holy venerable 1911 is anything less than perfect!

J-Pipes 06-06-2011 06:07 PM

Much rather have a 1911 than "ballistic tupaware" aka glock:tttt:

Benjamin 06-06-2011 06:10 PM

lug around a 5# 1911 with only 8 rounds and then carry that tupperware with 15+ rounds and see if you make that comment. i'd much rather have 15 rnds and only need 10 than to have 8 rnds and need 10.....

Begle1 06-06-2011 06:54 PM

John Wayne used a 1911.

I guess you didn't know they make HI-CAP 1911:humm:

J-Pipes 06-07-2011 07:31 PM

Look at the smiley in the post, it was a joke, I have nothing against Glocks, other than the fact that they are ugly! I do have a fullsize 1911 by the way, in 10mm, that I have a Galco SOB holster that does a very good job of spreading the weight across my back, and I have not had any trouble with it. And on the subject of capacity, if you need to use your carry gun, and 8 rds are not enough, I think you might want to do a little more practicing. And loaded my 1911 is maybe 3lbs, not 5:c:

i know they make double stack 1911's but when referring to a 1911 i stay with the pure original 7rnd mag, single stack, 1911A1 Gov model. just like the ones issued to the WW1 soldiers. and yes i know they make some 10 rnd mags for a single stack 1911 but i'm not fond of having an inch or 2 hanging out the bottom of the grip, kind of makes concealed carry useless, about as useless as a Glock 19 using a 33rnd mag. ya it works but why have a magazine that is twice the length of the barrel? oh i forgot because the 1911 has a frame mount safety and a grip safety making it far superior to a Glock....

Young grasshopper, You have opened your eyes & seen the light:tu: The 1911 will always be the B E S T fighting & target handgun:rocking:

until you need more than 8 rounds and need to conceal carry.... then size and weight is an issue... then Glock's dominate.... BTW 1911's are outdated..... :tttt::tttt::w2::pca1::moon:

oh ya, why carry a 5 pound 1911 when you can get a double stack and carry one that is 6.5 pounds..... i guess when you run out of ammo you can beat the robber to death with the hunk of steel you have....

I have like 6 or 7 glocks, they're fun T O Y S, but I'll stick to my 1911 guns:yeah:

RSWORDS 06-08-2011 04:03 AM

Guns are not toys Martin.... You should know this... :D

Benjamin 06-08-2011 09:50 AM

they don't have frame mounted safeties so they must be toys.....

Martin, did you paint the tip of the barrels safety orange so you would know what end the bullet should come out of? that way you will know to point that end away from you while you are playing with it so it won't accidentally fire since it dosen't have a frame or slide safety....

gunman41mag 06-08-2011 03:05 PM

Just remember to hold the glock lightly, so it'll jam, if you accidently pull the trigger:w2:

J-Pipes 06-08-2011 04:38 PM

You guys are funny:jump: Each person will have a different prefference of firearm, personally I deffinately want a gun that will work, and both the Glock, and 1911 work, the big difference for me is that every Glock I have ever seen is ugly! But with 1911's even the plain ones look good, but if you're willing to spend a little more money, they can be just down-right elegant. And if you're only complaint's on a 1911 is the size/weight, then why not a LW commander or officers model? Or maybe one of the Para Hawg models, that are double stack, but in a 3" gun?

Benjamin 06-08-2011 05:01 PM

dollar for dollar i'll take a Glock over any 1911 any day of the week. that is my personal preference.

J-Pipes 06-08-2011 05:47 PM

Not a prob, I know multiple others who would do the same, Glocks just don't excite me.
