Mine was a Winchester model 370 single-shot 20 guage. Dad got it for me for my 11th Christmas. I still have it!
1st gun I ever bought with my own money was a Marlin model 60. I was 14 (mom did the paperwork) and bought it brand new at Service Merchandise for $79.99 and two 50-rd white boxes of Whinchester hollow-points for 50-cents a peice! Groundhogs and pop can beware!

the first gun(s) I personally bought at 18, actually on the same day, were an AK47, pre-ban edition circa 1976. For an AK, it has some tight *** groups with iron sights.
And a then stock 10/22. Quickly modified with Hogue stock, match chamber and a very light match grade trigger, heavy bull barrel that is bedded with the stock and 3x scope. This thing is a tack driver at a 100 yds and no bull **** hit accurately at 200 yds which for a .22LR is pretty good.
I had many more guns too, till i lost them in that terrible boating accident on the mighty Mississippi back in November 2008
