I've been sitting in this tree stand all afternoon and I'm bore stiff. Watching the same 3 does in the field in front of me for more then an hour and they still won't come my direction. Damn salt block.ain't doin its job.
Who would have ever thought i would be surfing DB while I'm sittin in a tree. .

I've only made it out two times this season. I had a bull talking to me within 30 yards and I couldn't see him because the fog was so damned thick. I bugled with him for almost an hour and the start little basterd stayed just outside of my sight. I did see the shape of his body a few times as he paced back and forth but not enough for a clean kill.
I'm going to my parents house in Montana next weekend. Hopefully I will bag a nice elk then.

I know in some regions rifles or shotguns are the only way to go when you have to cover long distances of open space or the thick brush. But around my neck of the woods for shotgun season all you have to do is sit on the edge of a field and when Bambi steps into the field ya shoot it. Not my thing. Although I do like my Blackpowder. Haven't used it in a few years cause I don't have anyplace to go anymore.
