The pistol's were called XP 100's, I have 2 of them, & A CZ .221 fireball rifle, Guess you can tell I like the .221 I reload using the nosler ballist tips, 40 or 50 gain. They both work good on varmits

I have a savage 17hmr... it was cheap and it is cheap to shoot. I have only put about 10 rounds through mine... havent actually shot anything or sighted it in yet. I was testing it side by side with my buddies 10-22, and the 17 went through 1/8 steel plate like it was nothing, the 22 just splattered on it... didnt even dent it.

Ok, quick comparison. When I first bought my 17 I took it beaver hunting. It was at night so we didn't want to draw attention to ourselves. Buddy had a 22lr. I was gonna spolight while he shot. Well he hit em in the head and they would need about 3 more to stop kicking. After 3 times doing that crap he told me to take a shot. So I tossed him the light and waited saw one crossing about 50yd out. Popped it in the head and no more beaver. The head exploded in a big splatter of blood. We both yelled OOO S**T!!!! And after that the 22 got put up. And no more followup shots either. My buddy went and bought a 17 the next day!

Setting up my mosin nagant for prarie dog/varmint hunting, adding a recoil pad and bipod, maybe a better scope. Cheap rifle ($75-$130 depending on condition), cheap ammo, similar size and power to a .308. Also have a Savage Model 64 .22 semi-auto with a laser and flashlight hanging off the side of the scope for critters that get in the barn. Takes a couple shots, but overpenetration isn't an issue.
