Carp Fishing
found a great spot about 3 miles from my house. i think its private property but not sure. hope its not the forest prserve property that is right next to it. anyway its right off the Fox river it is two streams that flow into the river. it is pretty shallow about 6 inches at the shallowest.but there is a crapload of carp just wondering what i should use for bait to catch them. i didn't see any catfish but i bet there are some back there. i saw a couple 10 ponders and about 35 total fish. i hope i have time to fish them

Carp Anglers Group (CAG)
I learned quite a bit just thumbing through some of there info. Apparently they like like sweets and they recommended chumming for carps.

Corn right outa the can A bud and I use to catchem all day just to get'em outa the river since they **** it up so bad!!! Bow and arrow works too. They have absolutely no use up here, but if you take em down to Chicago you can get some pretty good money for them. Never tried it though, we just killed them "humanely" when we got them up on to the railroad bridge
