I was brought up to believe it's the shot placement, not the size of the caliber that did the job

This is why you are also taught not to carry FMJ ammo in your carry gun.

I've been around guns, since I could walk. I ain't stupid. I wouldn't buy a gun, I couldn't control. If you new a thing about grain levels you can use in the ammo for these guns. You'd have a clue how to tone it down. Genius...

Plain & simple the 500 mag will over penetrate

Plot twist, you clearly don't understand the grain level difference in different bullets can control the recoil... I wouldn't buy a gun, I couldn't handle. I wouldn't buy a gun I had no idea about, I know what I am talking about when it comes down to it. I shoot the gun, almost everyday here at the farm. I have no issues with putting someone down who is trying to come on my land an engage it activities they shouldn't bother trying. Warning shot first, an if that don't scare them off, it's straight to the chest.

Idk what tenn. Laws are you but in ohio your cant use a weapon to protect property only life. And ypu must feel your are going to be killed or seriously injured. :banghead:
