I've got an regular 30/30 lever action that I will never add anything to but I wouldn't be making a tactical lever action for looks but just for one single function.

The biggest thing for me is a heavy hitting rifle round. I know there are a lot of people that say a 12 gauge with a 3" slug will do it but I am going for penetration and heavy density. A 12GA may very well kill a lion but at ~75 yards from point of hopping the fence to my possible location I won't have a lot of time to stop 600+ lbs of beast.
Then again everyone says I'm paranoid and crazy but they don't live next to it and hear it every night.

I want it to penetrate to but not to where it pases thru! I want that bullet to explode and tear the hell out of a lion. But if I ever do that I want to do cape buffalo and hiena, something with a challenge... My dads family thinks Im paranoid, im not though Ive got guns so why be paranoid...

Some Glocks have unsupported chambers, when the gun goes KaBoom (due to unsupported chamber) the pressure is forced down into the magazine...if the barrel is not plugged it's quite strong and will not blow up.
However, Glocks have polygonally rifled barrels and if you shoot lead in em it tends to shave off more lead & build up...and that forces a KaBoom also....
