Detroits are awsome. Love the rig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My boss used to work on the oil rigs in Alaska. He told me about how one of the pumps was powered by a V-24 Detroit. Each cylinder was over 124 CI. And ran almost 4000 HP!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta love them old screamers.

A small update on the 2 stroke GM.

After this run they discover engine damage on the number 4 liner. Will update some more after we know what happened.

Link to a small movie. http://www.teamftf.nl/film/2012/Lopik/Lopik_2012_1.wmv

Small update. The new engine build is well on its way. It turned out the old engine had leaking injector tubes and the damage that gave where a bent con rod an crank that was damaged as well destroying all the main bearings so game over for the old engine block.

New build V12 for semi truckpulling engine for team FTF has made is madden run.
Start RPM is a bit low with only 106RPM so we had to help it a bit with the cold start but ones it fired up it run very clean considering it got very large injectors.

Next step is breaking in the engine and load testing.

Wow! That is SUCH a cool project. If you were to market the conversion as a kit, what might it run? Thinking this V12 would be bad *** in a rat rod project
