well,after too much B-S with the vehicle licensing oafority,s here in london,it was nice to clear it all away and be able to collect my new addition to the fleet-
1991 leyland daf t244-4x4 winch truck-12v 6bta power-6 speed spicer-getrag 304.2sp-5500kgs winch-75m cable-hydraulic tilting cab.AND only 29,263 miles from new!

i plan to put one of my U.A.V-shelters on the back this sunday and it will become ....

That is a very solid looking truck and super low miles Is there a gun ring on the roof?
Did you pick this up at a Gov Auction or was it a Depot Sale?

 

got in a tender-we have a man on side
the gun ring is in place,i have a roof rack for it too-from an earlier bedford,but there is nowhere to mount the front clamps on the newer cab-and as the cab tips to access the motor i can,t mount it off the front of the body-im looking at options....

can you tell us how your project with the T244 Daf Leyland is going? Have made any changes to the transmission to increase speed and reduce engine rpm? I'd like to talk to you for parts, I also have the winch model. Francois
