95 restoration

Finally made a little more progress. Got the inside of the fenders painted along with the door jams and hood hinges. hopefully We can get it started in the next 2 weeks or so, with graduations and parties and such its tough to find a free weekend but when I do get it started I'll be testing out our new camcorder so that should be interesting!

Its actually a Nissan color that I saw on a Murano. I forget what the actual paint code is, but I believe that called it Midnight blue. If you researched Nissan paint colors and got the code a paint store such as PPG can make the color/base coat for you. And I finally got it started and running last night! so hopefully if I can find some time tonight, and I can figure out our new camcorder I can upload a video.

Gah! I remember driving the first 94 in J-Ville many years ago when they were brand new! Man, I getting O-L-D! That was almost 20 years ago; hope my 08 last that long, but without needing to restore it. Most second gens didn't fare too well in that department, from what I've seen.

Yea, it seems that the bodies on these things were designed to fail. After tearing it all apart its obvious they painted the whole truck with it together, with almost all the usual rust prone areas only receiving primer. This truck was a flag truck in the northeast so it saw more than its fair share of snow and salt which completely tore it apart.
