Default Re Paint

I have had cars painted in the past. Some shops will Just clean wax off,and paint right over.
I had one car like that I took it back and made appointment to repaint. However I sanded the car this time,so new paint would stick.
I advise anyone repainting clear coat to apply clearcoat stripper, then lightly sand whole vehicle themselves.
From a Vet to another, thank you for your duty and honor.

Just remember, Sometimes you get what you pay for!! Check with some of your local reputable body shops and get a quote for the same work. You may be surprised what a little more money will get you.

They do alright, but the more prep work you do the better! Take any and every molding or plastic piece of whatever that will not be painted off yorself. All theyll do is get over spray on them or messy tape lines. If you can prep the truck as in make it smooth and good sanding/scuff youll be miles ahead... When I did mine at my buds shop when it was all said and done the material and his labor for painting only was 2500...

For $1200, you could go around town to a mom and pop paint shop and have a single stage done. Just prep it, remove hardware, etc.

I've been quoted at $1500 for a full respray and some filling. Including supplies.

My advise is just to invest enough to get it done right the first time. I have $7500 in body and paint on my truck and anything closer than 20 feet it looks bad in many places.
