I wish I could participate in the battery and starter damaging club. Ever since I installed my Espar my coolant temp is about 165 throughout the entire engine even before I put the key in the ignition. Zero wait to start time, and even the cab is warm.

mostly cummins are real easy to start, but all diesels dont wana run very good cold. these are just some of the extremes, and part of it could be the timing is advanced or lots of mods and on my 96 its just plumb wore out and that makes for a hard start to.

My old 97 and 99 would start when it was -30 not plugged in with only 2 cycles of the heater. So I don't know why this one is so hard to start, but its really annoying. Luckily I can plug it in at work. I have replaced the heater and relay with no difference.

Worth the money eh? Dont even have to scrape ice off the windows.

I wish my Espar was working...

Worth every penny, and every ounce (cash booze deal). I strongly suggest them to anyone in a cold climate. Heck, it's even a safety feature.
Whats wrong with yours? I may be able to help. If not, I know a guy.

I think it just needs cleaning. I should rent a bay and just get it done I guess.

Ive been told to every once in awhile run some gas or kerosene through it to clean it up.....too late for me though.
