burned up bugs
the title is refering to my stack. has anyone figured out a good remedy so bugs wont get crispy when they hit my stack and stick like eggs in a frying pan? wax seems like it would just burn off.
Try a good quality chrome polish, and then when you do get bugs on them, take some 0000 steel wool to them. They will be fairly easy to get off. I live on a lake, so I deal with LOTS of bugs on a daily basis.
Something else I've used is 409 and a microfiber bug sponge. That's what I use on my grill and front bumper and they come right off.

well my stack is polished, not chromed so mabey just stainless polish would work? i tried wd-40 and it didn't do anything. they're like roasted on there though
guess i should have dropped it down a couple inches

On the Peterbuilts at my work, the drivers use a solution of 60% water to 40% white vinegar and wash them with the truck running, or just after shutting it down. I think they have polished stainless stacks but they may just be chrome. Works really good though!
