? about paint color change.
I've wanted to repaint my truck ever since I bought it and I think I've found a way to keep it and make it my play rig. Since its an 85, has only a couple big dents(on either side of the grille hardly noticeable) and a little bit of rust, mostly over the rear wheels which I'll probably just trim off, I know it would take major money to make it look really nice so I was looking into tractor paint. I figure it'll work great for a play rig since its so hard. But I just wanted to know what the legal side of changing your paint color was. Right now my truck is a white/blue 2 tone but is registered/titled as white. Should I just do white and make it easy and not have to change anything or is it really not that much of a PITA to get it registered in a new color?

I don't have a problem with two tones, I actually like them when they're done right. Its just cheaper to do a single color. Plus the only reason I want to repaint it is because I don't like the paint scheme. Now maybe if it was a solid blue instead of having white strips through it. Plus I'll take the molding off the sides, I don't like where its at. So anybody know of something that will take the adhesive off?

look in to a 3M rubber eraser wheel. they are great at removing foam tape like behind mouldings. check it out on youtube.com
