mineral spirits will get rid of it, as well as tree sap, tar &, followed by soap & water.
It usu won't hurt paint, but don't put on paint that hasn't fully cured. If u run over wet paint, it'll take that off as well. Don't ask how I know.

 

whestleys bleech white works great and is safe on paint and great for removing bugs, tar, and soot. I use it on the whole truck

 

I use Mr Clean magic eraser. Works good on bugs and tar too.

 

Will any of these products remove tree sap? I have it all over my hood and it's really bad and nothing I have used yet has even touched it.
