dustin all i can say is haters keep on hating. props to you for building your dream truck not buying it. ive followed the build all along on here and on facebook.im sure you will get it figured out. for it just be siting and idleing i dont think it would be sumthing real major. also with the timing issue slipping whats it acting like? i had problems getting my timing right on mine when first started it and drove it, rev it up to about 1800 rpm and started popping timing was to retarded so i bumped it up but i didnt have a dial indicator so i was just guessing at it. finally took it too my local pump guy and he let me use his dial gauge on it. it was at 27*. i set it back down to 16.5* just to be safe. i bout a new washer for the pump gear too. old was was pretty smashed so figured a new one help keep it from slipping time. cleaning the shaft is important too. good luck with it and if your ever in Ky holler at me.

heading home wednesday and working on my daily driver... after the paint work is done on it i will pull the toy back in and work on it... injectors will be coming out and seeing if engine is free if thats the case put it back together and check timing... i have had it timed and new washer, cleaned, and its torqued via a 4 foot bar so im just wonderin if its the case... i will know probably in about 2 weeks... thats why this thing takes so long cause im a full time student 3 hours away from home and im not able to work on it all the time like some people....

and for all the haters out there im purchasing another engine today for parts so its going to be fueling hard again...

Not like this guy though, but because you're there on your own doing stuff big diesel shops do, on your own. Major props to you, keep truckin man. Can't wait to see her running an kickin ***!
