no real need to pull the whole pump ... just pop the gear off, loosen the mounting bolts and slide it back a few inches.

I wish I would had done it when the pump got timed but i was thinkin at the time... I'll survive till next time or if I bench the pump.

Little tip on the hitch.......But it might be too late since you have the bed off. Most of us mount the hitch on the underside lip of the top frame rail. You would be suprized how much it help, and you gain a bit of a weight transfer advantage. They key to doing this is that you would lower your hook point to below the hitch itself, thus when the sled is pulling on it, the hitch will auctually help pull the front end down.

Not sure if i explained it good enough......


Progress looks good!!!! Cant wait to get started on my second Pulling truck build!!! This time Im going Old School!!!

Got the hitch mounted nup today an moved it inboard 10 inches and used 1/2" bolts with 1/8" fenderwashers
