Anyone have any experience bending their own injector lines? I know a bit about it, but I have never tried it. I am thinking about making a custom intake manifold, which would require the lines to be changed up.
The things I know so far:
1) They all have to be the same length, this is CRITICAL.
2) I do not want to go too big on the VE pump, in fear of not maintaining high enough pressure.
3) They should be mild steel because stainless has an affinity to crack.
Now, my question is this, can I use regular steel brake line? I would assume brake line is built to hold about 3,000-5,000 psi of brake fluid, whereas an injection pump turns out about 20,000 to 30,000 psi, right? Second, what kind of flare would I need on the fittings?
Might be a while before I get this project going, focusing on getting it on the road right now, but figure I could save up for the parts and stuff to do it. Looking at an individual runner design for the intake manifold, since I can weld pretty much anything now

I looked on their site, but didn't see anything (which doesn't mean much, I will have to call/email them). I did talk to rocken-tech and they can get me 3mm lines, which are 0.120 ID, which I am afraid will be far too large for the rotory pump. I know I want to be able to keep line pressure up, or the injectors won't spray right... Rocken-tech did say I could use normal tools to bend them, which is good. Also seems as if the fuel pump doesn't reach as high of pressure as I had previously thought.

Alrighty, had a real productive day today with the bed... Dad got the tail light holes cut out, but they were a fuzz too small for the lights, so we had to take a bit more out of them today. Got em all done and the lights fit:
Also got the side marker light holes drilled and test fit the light:
And I also got the spare tire carrier welded on:
Then we pulled the bed out to sand blast (finally!!)
It went alot slower than I had imagined, but it worked well. In this picture, about half of the rear panel is done and well... it took me like 30 min!
And my favorite of the day.........
Dad got all the bed wood glued together
We still need to cut the width to size and check the length to see if it fits, then we will have to drill the holes for the bolts. Dad will be working on sand blasting the bed this week, so hopefully he can put a big dent in that... it's certainly a much bigger job than I anticipated. From there I will be doing the small amount of bondo work that is needed, then the bed will get primed and the bottom will get painted black. Sides will get blocked smooth and it will go off to paint
All in all I am really pleased with the progress on it. Dad wants me to hurry up and finish it, even if it means cutting corners that I don't necessarily want to cut. Nothing major, but he wants me to just drive it with the air to air IC on the front, without a grille so I don't have to move the radiator and all that stuff... I'm not sure how I feel about that, since my immediate goal is to A) Win truck of the month in December and B) get in the pages of a magazine. A half finished truck won't be able to do either of those!

Probably don't need them, I just think they look good on flatbeds but that comes down to your preference. Lookin good either way.

All states require a third brake light after a certain year. My truck falls before this year. And yeah, I don't know how I feel about lights in the middle... trying to keep it somewhat simple, I don't like trucks that have too many lights.

UGH! Getting really antsy for this weekend when I get to go back and work on the truck. Should be getting the rest of the sandblasting done and the bondo work started this weekend. Really excited to see the final result of my hard work 
Update from dad: he is about 1/3 done with the sandblasting and is working on it a little at a time. His life is as busy as mine, so I don't expect him to get anything done, just happy when he does have time to get things done!
