For 4-6k you could take an autobody class at the local vocational school or community college and do it most of it yourself (I guarantee there will be a guy in there that can spray ...or a guy that knows a guy) ....even with buying the tools and equipment. (Excuse to buy more tools and you'd have the wife's blessing)
Can't see it that well but it still doesn't look that bad....have you had a good buff and wax job done ? a 1000 or 1200 grit wet sand and buff job could bring it back. I don't recommend doing this yourself.....you can easily burn through the paint with a buffer if you are not used to it.

i always have my truck mud brown. we go muddin prob 4 days a week and ive gotta wake up early and replace a ball joint here.

black is deffinately going to be the hardest color to take care of as well as getting painted. i used to work at a detailing shop back in high school and there was this one guy who always came in complaining about our quality on a $600 detailing job. later on we all found out he was a make ready for a auto motive paint facility. its all relative to perspective i guess. we would wet sand, clay bar, polish, compound, then finness along with a showroom interior detail but i guess some people are more picky than others.
