Default DIESEL MUTTS!!!

The title says it all: Disesl BOMBers....Better Off Modified, Baby!

Being that the very essence of our nature is to toy and tinker with our #2 burning monsters, let's hear some shouts out from the truly elite BOMBers...the masters of mutts!

I'd like to dedicate this thread to the people out there who couldn't find their dream truck on a showroom floor, but instead had to create it themselves. So, post a pic and tell us a thing or two about your hybrid ride!

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

My mutt. '93 Ford F-250 Fummins.

1993 Ford F-250
12 valve Cummins
Getrag 360, NP205 t-case
Dana 61 front, Sterling 10.25 rear, 4.10 gears
Home built bumper and traction bars
10" lift, 38x14.50x17 BFG KM2's

All the conversion parts were home built.

I've been a die hard Ford guy all my life and have owned many gems of the F-series truck line. I've grown up around big bad diesels most of my life and have always been amazed by their power. There's nothing better than being able to just let off the clutch at idle and take right off without any feathering of the throttle at all. The Navistar IDI that was equipped in my '93 F-250 was fun while it lasted, but I wanted a little more power and that legendary sound of an inline...so Cummins was the answer! Being that Ford never issued F-series pickups in North America with the mighty 6BT, I figured I would remedy that situation and build my own! While I was at it, I got rid of the twin I-beam, tire eating front suspension and bolt up one of the toughest front axles around: a kingpin Dana 60....well, 61 actually, but beggers can't be choosers. So, with a little elbow grease and some hard work, I finally have a Fummins! And I couldn't be happier!

I think it would be interesting if you mention what inspired you to choose the truck/engine/etc combination that you did
