I thought you could only have a hight idle switch on the 3rd Gens. How did you wire that up?

 

That one has a solenoid pushing on the throttle arm under the hood. I also have a control box that does high idle and 3cyl shutdown that I am still perfecting.

 

did anyone ever do a roof mount on a 3rd gen. i have been wanting to put one in my truck but never found a good spot. i don't want to cover ashtray (cell phone fits in there pretty good), and i have my power brake on the right side of the knee bolster. i don't really want to cover up my cup holders, wife and i already fight over the two that are there. so i was thinking on a roof mount but not sure how it would look. or how to mount it. also anyone have a mount in an 07 or newer chevy with pics that would be great, my work truck is an 07 and it is wedged under the arm rest now and i don't like that much.

 

In my pic up top i have my brake controller mounted to the cb and theres plenty of room for my leg. My bud has his mounted to his dash about centered but angled towards him.

 

i never thought of the dash, good idea.

 

made a alum. bracket for mine and srewed it to the floor
