Real question is how was starting it without a grid heater?
i had her plugged in last night, started this morning with about 3-4 seconds of cranking, its smokey at a cold idle, once it gets to operating temp the white haze is gone. its still very touchy to throttle input, gonna take some getting used to so i can drive it smooth.

the pump swap is not that difficult. i did tons of research going into it tho. ive been reading about it for a year now, i made a couple phone calls to friends along the way, but it was relatively easy, just time consuming. i did alot of other work during my build up tho, bunch of custom parts, a new cam, new header and turbo...so the actual swap lasted about 5 weeks while i was waiting on parts. is it worth it...heck yea! i did it for pulling and performance, i wanted rpm and big power that the vp44 wouldn't do. for those with mild street trucks, its prolly not the best option unless you are one of those people who replacs vp44's every few months, then its worth it. I think if you know where to look to buy used parts, you can do a swap and come out with a 400-450hp truck for under $2000...then on top of that you can sell off some of the vp44 parts and make a few hundred back. the downside is you cant hit a button anymore to go from stock to wild and back again with a p-pump. if i had another 24v and wanted to build a mild towrig thats never gonna leave me stranded with a blown pump...i would do a p-pump in a milder form in a heart beat.
