So this little project sarted about 4 months ago on a rainy day. Long story short I hit a ditch.
Me and my dad have built several bumpers together, so of course we wanted to build one. I spent a few days getting measurmenst ands doing reseach, then made a few designs.
Then started making cardboard templates.
On July 21, 2013 I lost my dad. It happened without warning.. I rushed him to the hospital as fast as i could, but there was noting that could have stopped it. He died about halfway there.. There was a cancerous cell in his kidney that broke loose when he bent down. When it dislodged he had a heart attack. That man taught me everything i know about everything.. Needless to say, this haulted production on my bumper for a while..
I put the bent factory bumper back on and drove it for a while, Then lost interest in building a bumper.
Then about two weeks ago I wanted to get it done. I knew daddy would kill me if i didnt get that damn thng built. LOL.
So I got to work!
From this point I pretty much had to make it up as I went
Me being the person I am, couldnt stop to take pictures! So i skipped a few steps.
Fabrication done, ready for grinding!
Primer sprayed on!
Bedliner sprayed and DONE!!!
Not too bad for and 18 year old huh? I cant help but have a huge grin on my face every time i look at it. I'm sure dad would love it! Let me know what you guys think. And happy Thanksgiving!
