plasti-dipped some chrome parts.
yours looks better than mine. mine really has to be like 1/8" thick... its furry as crap. but its holding up good considering the kind of torture my 6.0 goes through on a daily basis...
havent had to touch them up yet

Yea just do them lightly trust me. And if u have the tools, id take them off the truck but leave the tires on there. I left mine on and it was harder to get all the angles evenly. It would be better to lay them down flat while painting
i plasti-dipped my motorcycle, it looked great, but I got bored with the satin black look and peeled it off and went with paint.
it is easy to apply, you can buy it in the can for dipping tools into and then use V M & P Naptha to thin it out and spray it with an HVLP paint gun, worked fine for me, you just have to use a 1.4 or bigger tip to make sure it flows good because it is thicker than paint, any thinner and it does not look proper.
