Depends what im doing, but sometimes i will put the truck on the hoist and take the front tires off and lower it as close to the ground as possible, then i will stand on an old bellhousing i have laying around. Works great for me, and im about 5 foot 8.

Bumper, bumper holes, a 20in tall tree stump to get to the bumper. Haha. Or a tire. Whatever is around to stand or sit on.

my custom front bumper has 2 dring hangers. i place a short chain between them and stand on the chain. also i have stock tires to throw on the front if i need to be in there for a while.
