Union Diesel Mechanic?
Union member for 18 years, yes they have their good and bad point's. But Private contractor's are 75% worse to work for because they are more crooked than any union but anything is a Hell of alot better than being a Welfare moocher Like the______ well just look at any big city and you will have an answer.Grab that job and good luck. yes I know last post was 9-30
I'm in the union, i work at a steel mill ak steel Corp, like everyone said pro's and con's, lazy people get to keep job for doing nothing but good benefits, pay, I get shift differential and bonuses and others

imo, i think you should wait a week or two and see if any of your other applications come back. i know when i went there, i had several good offers.best was starting out at 18 an hour. that was back in 05. i would tell the company that offered you 15 that you would like to think about it for a week. and then you will let them know.
I was in the cat dealership today picking up parts and they have a big sign up they are looking for diesel tech you might want to check them out sounds like they have openings for techs about 40 or so in their dealerships including servicing the oil filed in ND
